Announcing the initial release of pnMyGuide! This is a 'Dummy's Guide to PostNuke' or 'How to Run your Website' that I wrote for my clients to answer their initial questions. It is pretty basic and does not cover installation at all (since that's my job). Please let me know what you think! (The current version is php/html only and not an "integrated" module).

Good work!

pnFileStructure is a reference tool for PostNuke developers. It is an HTML listing of the PostNuke FileStructure which provides the PHP source code files in text format so you can read them without having PHP installed. Thank you PostNuke for making it so easy...

Mark West has published a very interesting article at his site. It's a guide to convert your modules from pnHTML to pnRender which is the new HTML rendering architecture in PostNuke 0.8It's a well worth reading for developers that want to have their modules ready to take full advantage of the new 0.8 architecture.
You can find the document at this location: http://docs.markwest.me.uk/portingpnhtml/index.html

If anyone is insterested...The Administrator Guide to PostNuke can be downloaded in ZIP format at http://www.dankstreet.com/Downloads+inc-^req-getit-lid-35.html, downloaded in TAR.GZ format at http://www.dankstreet.com/Downloads+inc-^req-getit-lid-36.html, or viewed on-line at http://www.dankstreet.com/index.php?module=NukeOwl&func=download&parent=2&id=5
This is Release Candidate 3. The online version doesn't have the figures (images), but the zip and tar.gz downloads include 34 png files! It still needs lots of work, but it is a start.
Thank you PostNuke!

Here is a draft for a book article entitled "Conception and implementation of rich pedagogical scenarios thorugh collaborative portals sites" . It ought to make some propaganda for PostNuke as creative educational platform. It concerns some ongoing work which we plan to bring to a larger audience in spring 2004. So far, most of what we do is beta (or less), but we got some nice ideas in place I hope. Warning: This is not about so-called e-learning which should not be a priority in education, IMHO of course ...

Sebastian Schürmann from c0d3.de recently began working on a documentation system for PostNuke to cover various areas including User, Administrator, Module and pnAPI documentation. He is recognized for producing one of the best pnAPI documentation sites we've ever seen - so good that many core developers use it daily! As a result, he is now the main PostNuke documentation co-ordinator.

For those of you who find it a bit of a chore to install PostNuke or maybe you find it just a little bit daunting, well fear no more.
Some of you may remember a while back I started a small installation tutorial for beginners, but I took it down because it was a bit outdated.
Thanks for the contribution! Just a suggestion you might review some of your licensing opportunities through Creative Commons http://creativecommons.org/) for the tutorial that is compatible with PostNuke's GPL license.

Thanks to the stupidity of my old server-admin at my last webhost, the old copy of my multisites tutorial was deleted.
So due to this error we all benefit because I've updated the tutorial. You can find a rewritten, newer version here
This tutorial is ideal for those with more than one PN based website, but has had to install several copies of PostNuke (one for each site) because they are on shared webhosting that doesn't allow for them to configure thier subdomains as much as they'd like to.
Feel free to leave questions and feed back as replies on the forum I wrote
Jason
Thanks Jason.....good work.

I have successfully installed PostNuke to run on my intranet (for development purposes) on a Windows 2000 Server running IIS 5.0. I am a developer that uses many tools for development including Cold Fusion and quirky servers like Flash Communication Server MX (which is pretty cool BTW), so I had to keep the IIS running for these other servers. I prefer to use apache and linux for webserving my own work, but many of my clients are still stuck in the windows world, and rely on IIS based servers.
I would recommend this path over using a product like FoxServ. Believe me, Foxserv is not a time-saver. It buries Apache, MySQL, and PHP in subdirectories of Foxserv. If you read the documentation of Apache, MySQL and PHP, this is clearly NOT recommended. Just stick it out and you'll do just fine.

I could not find the specific answer anywhere. My requirements are that the unregistered user may only login, signup, and view the Web Links. I also wanted to eliminate the default of "read" and make it "none" for unregistered users.
Well, I've done it. Here's how:
NOTE: I use the xuser module for login/logout
