PostNuke 0.8.0.0 Development and Release schedule


The lists below are an outline of the current development schedule for PostNuke 0.8.0.0.

Milestone 1

Released 13 April 2006
  • Working base system including theme engine, new blocks modules.
  • Complete integration of OpenStar object library
  • Working base technologies - ajax, workflow etc.
  • All system modules fully API compliant, templated and utlising object library

Milestone 2

Released 29 September 2006
  • Utilisation of all base technologies across system modules.
  • Categories system available for use.
  • System modules DB structure should now be frozen except for changes required to support multiple databased (MS3). No new database altering features added from this point.
  • At least one module demo for categories.
  • Theme standards frozen.

Milestone 3

Released 07 February 2007
  • Completion of modules - all modules now pnAPI compliant, templated, utilising object library and other base technologies as approapriate.
  • Directory based URLs system finalised.
  • Search module finalised.
  • Support for PostGreSQL and possibly Oracle available.

Release Candidate 1

Released 17 July 2007
  • Basically the same as MS3 but with bug fixes and upgrade path from earlier releases (.71+).
  • Full QA of release for security, coding standards, utlisation of technologies.
  • Code now in feature freeze - bug fixes only.

Release Candidate 2

Released 12 December 2007
  • Overhauled and improved categories system based on RC1 feedback.
  • Improved upgrade process from earlier releases.
  • Many, many bug-fixes.

Further Release Candidates to Final Build

  • Bug fixes, bug fixes and more bug fixes.
  • Migration from other systems.
