In PostNuke 0.8 and above, we have added icon sets for use by both theme and module developers to create a consistent interface across a PostNuke website. Initially, only the KDE Crystal set is available, however in the future we plan to make available more icon sets, and of course third party developers are encouraged to make their own.The idea is quite simple, to have all modules using the same images for the same actions in their interfaces. For example, the button to submit a form might always be images/icons/small/ok.gif, or the 'Add' image might always be images/icons/small/add.gif. In this way, PostNuke site administrators will always know what button does what, without having to decipher each module's quirks and unique features. Another positive is that the PostNuke CMS looks a lot better as a result of the professional icon sets.
To make use of the icon sets, we recommend you use the pnicon plugin in your pnRender and Theme templates.
