Both pnRender and Xanthia cache rendered templates. This can prevent the changes you make in Xanthia themes from showing up, unless you adjust settings as follows (at least while you are working on them):
For pnRender - go to the admin->
Checkmark both:
- Compile check
- Force compilation
Uncheckmark:
- Enable caching
Click both:
- Delete compiled templates
- Delete cached pages
For Xanthia (Admin -> Xanthia -> Configure Xanthia):
Check both:
- Check for updated version of templates
- Force templates recompilation
you can find a complete Tutorial for Xanthia to download at this site although you need to register to download. It is good for beginners.

means you have to change them again afterwards? and to what? i mean the settings of the above in normal running mode.
I found this helper quit often on the forum but nowhere a followup.

Yes, it means that while you are working on the development of a theme, if you want to see your changes to the theme templates display properly, you should follow the above instructions.
Then, once you're finished work on your theme and your web is up and running, you should enable caching and disable the other items that were enabled (checked) in the instructions above.
