Menutree block allows to create multilevel, hierarchical menu. It has all functions known from standard, core menu:

• for each item we can give name, link, title (tool tip) and css class (eg for distinguish selected items)
• links can be given in brackets ([module_name] for old-style modules, {module_name} for new modules) 
• permissions can be assign to the whole block or single item
• menu item can be arrange into nested list

Administration panel is build using javascript - thanks to this we can work with menu without page reloads. To sort or rearrange menu items just drag and drop them.

Output produced by this block is simple html unordered list. Unlike the admin panel there is no javascript needed in default menu template.

In fact this block has been released as module. However module has no functionality - is serves only as "container" for the block.
