I'm a rank newbie to PostNuke, though with experience as a programmer in VB and other areas. I think I've picked up the hang of some things from googling and searching forums. Most of the more advanced tech stuff seems pretty straightforward but I continue to have problems with very basic items that are probably extremely obvious to a postnuker with a week's experience but are still totally unknown to me. For instance: My host installed PostNuke for me...in a sub-directory of the root. If I type in the URL 'http://www.mydomain.com/postnuke/' it works just fine. However, when I type in 'http://www.mydomain.com', I get nothing. I tried copying the file index.php into the root but that just gave me a 'wrong directory' error message. I know there must be a simple way to start from my root. Surely, I don't have to move all PostNuke files up one directory level? |

OK, did it. ...and that took care of it. Now, on to struggle with all the other details. :) Thanks, Hammerhead! |
