Hello, I'm running PostNuke 0.7.5.0 and I've noticed that my "Settings" module icon is missing from the main admin control panel. It used to be there, I promise ;). Any good reason why this could have happened? Maybe I need security updates? Could PSAK help? Thank you in advance for a reply. -- Sudi |

You really need an upgrade to 0.764! A way to access your Settings module may be: index.php?module=Settings&type=admin -- - Mateo T. - Mis principios... son mis fines |

SudiMaybe I need security updates? Yes, please update to .764 a.s.a.p. Older versions cannot be supported any longer. -- "He is not dangerous, he just wants to play...." |

I tried to follow your advice and update to .764, but I ran into some trouble. After running the installation script and typing in all the pertinent database information, the script asked me which version of PN I'm upgrading from. The list included old versions up to .72 (it didn't cover 7.5). When I tried to "fake it" and upgrade as if I was running .72 or any other .7x version, the script would return all sorts of database fatal errors. What should I do to successfully upgrade my PN .75? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. -- Sudi |

1. Read manual carefully! There's not really an upgrade to the latest stable version 2. Back-up your .sql files [thru phpMyAdmin or similar, really do that!] 3. FTP: make a new folder [backup, old_files, whatever], move ALL your filed to that folder[the manual states it clear "remove all files" --> read, don't delete, just move 4. upload the new one in place [latest stable version] 5. read manual again, move back 3th party modules and go on..., again, make sure you have a back-up of everything! - Igor -- Have a nice day zikulapro.be is currently running |
