two questions:
how can i redirect the users to the news page (home) right after logging in without hardcoding it? they always come to their 'personal page' which i want to disable.

whenever i move a block (e.g. admin messages) to the center it won't be displayed. only if i move it right or left.
any idea how to fix this?

I am having the same problem. Can't (through the menus) find how to redirect to News - or any other block - other than the personal page after they login.

Also modifying blocks to appear in the center causes them to disappear.
