Page View Counter in module - how to work it?

I have just installed a mod (Open Reallty) which does not have a counter for the number of visitors to the page. How can I set this up? Do I just need to call a general function within the user.php file? If so, which one, where do I insert it, and how do I call it?
Also, how can I check all the non-core modules I have installed add their page views to the main site counter? My AW Stats figures show about twice as many visits as the pnStats do...
