I've got a friend who wants to visit my site, but his company blocked my site (BASTARDS!). I've set up a mailing list and I've been copying my stories over to the mailing list, but this is a pain in the butt. Is there a way to have Post Nuke automatically package a new story in an email and shoot it off?

Here's a module that might be useful...you're friend will be able to get the latest stories, links, and downloads submitted to the site.
I hope this helps...let me know.

postMyMail
Description: PostMyMail is a PostNuke module conversion of Peter McNulty's MyMail newsletter mailing list manager. You can see a demo of it by clicking on the homepage link. It is not GPL, but Peter has graciously allowed me to post my modifications on the PostNuke site; please don't abuse his generousity by distributing it elsewhere. You can sign up for a newsletter regarding updated and issues with PostMyMail at the homepage too. Generated by PostMyMail, of course. This version is compatible with Rogue .714 through the "PastNuke" admin module but is not pnAPI.

Here's the link: http://bronto.csd-be…mode=&order=&thold= to the guy who made it.
Here's a direct link to a the modules.postnuke.com download: http://modules.postn…x&req=getit&lid=285
This isn't exactly what I needed, but I'll use it for the time being. I'm thinking I might actually try my hand at coding the mod myself. I've never done it before, but I have nothing but time. :)
I think what needs to happen is, when a new story is posted and it goes into the DB, a script runs that sends the story to an email address which could be anything (i.e. a mailing list already created). That wouldn't be so hard would it? Would I have to modify the core files though, like the poststory() function (or what ever it is, I haven't looked yet)?
Oh yeah....

I'm using .721 and it seems to work fine.
