have post nuke running on a clarkconnect box...2 virtual hosts...anyway...when I initially install PN everything is fine but if I close the browser window and come back to my site I can't log in....If I go to another PC I still can't log in as admin.."I get the logging you in just hang tight" but I am returned to the home page and it says I am logged in but no admin link on the left side and the login box in still present on the right side (default settings). Is there a patch or something I need to prevent this error because I ran an old version of post nuke and didn't have any problems...

One thing to check is your firewall.

When I have had that problem before I have had to turn off Zonealarm.

    maybe this will help:

    13. I am using PostNuke with URL Masking, or in a frame. Why does the log in not work correctly?
There is an issue with using URL masking (which uses a frame to shield your real URL), and frames with PostNuke. This causes the log in to work incorrectly, PostNuke cannot, therefore, be run in a framed environment.

I am having the exact same problem. Login only works if I use Netscape but not IE.
...and I am not using any frame (URL masking), I am just testing this within the intranet (no firewall).
Any idea how to fix this?

I can't get PostNuke to log me or any user in at all :( at this point in time neither admin, or user can log in. Is there a quick fix, or is the stated above the only way to fix it? For I don't know which of the "login.php" to edit, since there are several it seems.

Not to mention that why would this all of the sudden not work, when it was working not more than 24 hrs ago.
