  • Keep your eye on the following thread: http://forums.postnu…topic&p=71861#71861

You never know, it may help you to resolve this problem.

    Some questions:

    1. Has the core disribution you obtained become corrupted during the downloading process? This is always possible. Try using a slower speed to download if using something like Download Accelerator.

    2. Is the Core distribution of PostNuke itself presently corrupt? Highly unlikely but always possible. Has it recently been patched? If so, has the latest version been tested?

Good luck in resolving this because PostNuke really does rock.

If you resolve this issue, please post back here.

    check the folder permissions
This is essential to get right. However, asides from the two mentioned in PostNuke's Installation guide,

    Common Installation Errors
    ==========================

config.php and config-old.php not world-writable - these files need to be
writable by the webserver process during the install/upgrade to ensure that
certain configuration parameters are stored. The install procedure should
check for this and inform you if the files are not writable. Note that once
the install/upgrade has been completed these files can be re-set to read-only.
you should not normally need to CHMOD any others.

Having said that, does anyone know what all of the correct permission settings are for PN core dist. modules? I'd like to know myself.

As you'll see, my search resulted in this:

    Search found 13134 matches
That's a heck of a lot of threads to examine and my first impression was that they're mostly about module permissions, not file and folder permissions, something quite different.

It would be great to see the whole lot added to the FAQ or whatever????? so that people can find them easily.
