Blank admin pages for pnRender & Xanthia

OK, Photoshare now requires pnRender, so . . . .
I've installed the proper XTE files in the proper locations.
I've CHMOD'd everything I could see to 777.
I Initialized and activated first pnRender, then Xanthia.
I'm using Extralite theme.
When I click on either Xanthia or pnRender from the admin page, I get a BLANK SCREEN, not even the PostNuke 'surround'.
I'm starting to consider abandoning this line and returning to base, which at least worked. Sorta. Never did figure out (nor get any response here) why all jpegs quit working.
