Problem with pnrender
 Top

  • I did the install anf followed the instrutions but when I click on pnrender I get this "Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: pnrender in /www/r/rwfracing/htdocs/pn/modules/pnRender/pnadmin.php on line 71" What did I do wrong. :|

    Thanks
  • You should upload _all_ files contained in the XTE package to your server. In this case, apperantly the pnAPI.php didn't make it up there...

  • Thanks. One other question I uploaded it in the dir. "/www/r/rwfracing/htdocs/pn/" is this right or does it all need to be uploaded in the module dir?

  • you get a HTML directory, this needs to be uploaded to PostNuke root, then everything will be in the right place.

From what you say above that looks right.

  • Well I have tried and tried but I keep getting the same error as above. :(
  • try again. You definately will NOT geht this error whan you upload ALL files, overwriting old ones. Check the config of your FTP program how it handles file conflicts. Check the files you have locally if pnAPI.php etc. is there. and so on...
  • I can confirm that if you upload all the files in there entirety and correctly that you will not get this error. Previously I uploaded and got this error. Looked at my FTP program and noticed that some of the files failed. Uninitialized the pnRender and Xanthia modules and re-uploaded the entire installation of Xanthia again. This time being patient NOT to load the site while uploading files (that will cause this problem). Then after verifying successful upload I can confirm that it worked fine.
  • Maybe I'm just a retard... but how exactly are you suppose to install this? I un tared the package.. Which had a sub folder.. after looking at the contents of the sub folder I concluded that this should proably go into the "modules" folder. So I go to the admin link.. intilize it.. then activate it.. but how do I use it? shouldn't I have an option in the admin panel? I've read through the forums and through the Xanthia Templating Enviorment Guide and I can't find anything about actualy installing the module.
  • The XTE package is packaged identically to the original PN archive. Everything in HTML gets uploaded to the PN root.

    You have
    HTML\includes
    \install
    \javascript
    \modules
    \pnTemp
    \index.php
    \header.php
    \footer.php
    \modules.php etc.

Note how this looks EXCACTLY the same as the PN distribution.

  • After fiddiling around with it (It's confusing, yes the directory structure is the same , however it add's an upper level directory so you can't simply extract the tar file in the root directory and things go where there suppose to) .. Anyways I have an admin icon for it now.. but where do the themes go? It says I don't have any avalible themes, so I downloaded the Theme Pack for it.. but where should I place those files?
  • Themes go in the same place as themes always go..... in the themes directory. Note that you the xanthia versions have same name as the core onces (since thier replaces). Make sure you don't replace your active theme with a xanthia one since xanthia themes require installation from the admin panel.
