I just found out yesterday that a subcategory title in Web Links is not showing up when a member was unable to locate certain links. Here's the poop:
I 'm running PN .726 with nate's web links hack (it changes the display)
Even though the search term and words I used are a sub category title, that sub category does not show up in a search (the one on the main menu).
A programmer of third party modules mentioned a solution, joining the links_categories table, and the links_links table using links_links.cat_id as the key
He also said there was a need to modify the select part of the SQL query around line 77 to add the join and the cat title as a result and the test part of the SQL query around line 97 to check against the cat title.

Bug in Search: incomplete search

I am not only a programmer of third party modules but have made numerous fixes and extensions that have been included in core PN. Since you are quoting something that I wrote, could you at least give me credit for the work that I did?
If you want help with this, ask a question. You did before and I supplied the answer. If the answer is not understandable, then ask another question and I will try to provide a more specific answer. -
Don't get in a tizzy about it. I'm simply reporting a bug, not asking any questions in this particular posting nor including your resume. The only thing I knew that you've done is your nifty statistics module.
Also, it is improper to ask the same question in two different forums. I asked in the support forum and am merely reporting it here since it involves a core feature.
The solution is more important to me than who thought of it but I did include your name in the bug report on the NOC since you are so sensitive on the subject.

I neither started nor continued anything. Please pay attention to that distinction. Note also that his post above comes a mere 9 minutes after he said he would leave me alone in another forum where he was seeking to provoke me.

Oiy. I thought that Duster knew that to report a bug you click on the link in the left column marked "Report Bugs".
And I thought that when people post in a forum, they want to discuss the problem. (And usually the solution, too.)
I have most of the rest of the solution to the problem. If anyone wants it, drop me a message or an email. -
Which I did and already informed you above that I did.

People also post to inform others of solutions, whjich is what I did here. There were not questions posed, just your solution to the problem I discovered.. This allows those who have the skills and the desires to fix the problem rather than waiting for the next version or a bug fix.Quote

Please stop being a putz and a liar. You said you would leave me alone. Now do it.
