Installing postnuke on my own pc: how?
 Top

  • Hi,

Small question. I already had a couple of sites running PostNuke and everything worked fine. Now a couple of months ago I quited these sites but I guess I just can't stop doing this stuff, PostNuke is just too much fun!
Now the thing is, before I'll rent another server I'd like to have the designstuff of my PostNuke-site already done. So what I'd like to do is run PostNuke on my own PC so I can start designing and stuff.

My (probably stupid, sorry icon_redface )question is: what do I need and where can I get it? Any help here would greatly be appreciated.
  • You need to install PHP, MySQL and a webserver software.

Personally, I used foxserv www.foxserv.net to install all this for me, because I am lazy. Foxserv (and other similar programs) install all this for you, creating a directory on your hard drive for you to place all your web files into, allowing you to run PostNuke on your home PC.
