Puzzling Problem
 Top

  • Hey guys, I am having a problem that I don't know what to call because I don't understand what's happening here. Not even sure where to post for help or how to search for the same problem because I am stumped here. The problem is that some of my members have problems with being able to see the pages once they login. My husband's computer is having the problem and several of my members are having the problem. When I go to the website on my husband's computer, I can see everything the general public can see. When I login with his username and password, the only thing I can get to is his account and I can only see 2 of the sideblocks in the whole website. When I click on "Birthdays" or anything else, I get a "Permission denied" error. What could be happening here? Greg and I of course have the same IP address because we are both connected to the same cable router. I thought that might be the problem but I don't think it is because other members are having the exact same problem. Would someone knowlegable with this, please help troubleshoot this with me? I would sure appreciate it! My live help program on my website will be on all day if anyone would like to try it today. Just give me a holler.

    Thank you,
  • Sounds like your permissions got messed up.

    Sounds like your permissions got messed up.

    This is what I have for permissions:

    Admins | .* | .* | Admins

    All Groups | Menublock:: | Main Menu:Administration: | None

    Users | .* | .* | Comment

    Unregistered | Menublock:: | Main Menu:(My Account|Logout|Submit News): | None

    Unregistered | .* | .* | Read

    tempusers | .* | .* | Comment

    You see anything with these? I have just been going by what others try to help me with. Maybe I messed something up?

    Thanks,
  • Well, Tempusers needs to be moved up in the list, above the all groups stuff.
This list is based on the users active over the last 60 minutes.
