first thing I get when going to install.php:
Quote
Warning: Cannot set time limit in safe mode in /home/blabla/install.php on line 45
Warning: Failed opening 'install/upgrade.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/php/includes:/usr/share/php') in /home/blabla/install.php on line 84
next to that, the image that should be there gives me the red X
I understand (been searching forums all night) the safe mode shouldnt be a problem, and I should be able just to go on. but what about the 2nd error?
I decided to try and just set a language, and see what happenes. It tells me the same thing, some
_DEFAULT_1
_DEFAULT_2 _DEFAULT_3
...whatever that means, should there be something next to those?
and it gives me a textbox sayingQuote
Warning: Failed opening 'docs/COPYING.txt' for inclusion (include_path='.:/php/includes:/usr/share/php') in /home/blabla/install/gui.php on line 500
after seeing this, I decided not to go on, caus things seem to be quite fucked up...
any suggestions? -

Best way is to upload a file called test.php or similar containing the PHP code
then goto to your site and the file with you browser i.e. www.yourdomain.com/test.php
All the information will now be available. -

Foamy
well ok, its turned on...
Just curious, does your PHP show safe mode turned on? If so, it needs to be turned off, (in php.ini), to run PostNuke. Do a search in pnForums for "safe mode" and you will find a good set of answers as to why this is currently true.
Warm Regards,
