Fatal Error on install.php !!! HELP???
 Top

  • I really messed something up on my PN 7.2.6 site. So, I deleted everything from the server, uploaded the PostNuke zip file, and decompressed.

When I get to install.php, I get through the first 2 pages, then get an error after the GNU Public License page:

    406 Not Acceptable:
NOT ACCEPTABLE: An appropriate representation of the requested resource /install.php could not be found on this server.

The site is completely down now :(

Can someone tell me what else I need to do to install a new PostNuke????
  • Contact your host, sounds like a server problem
  • I just did. Found out that they upgraded their version of PHP to 4.3... So, the PostNuke site itself (under my test domain) works fine, but the install script isn't recognized. The error I'm getting when trying to go through the install process is: 406 Not Acceptable: An appropriate representation of the requested resource /install.php could not be found on this server. I just posted this problem in the Support forum, so don't want to get in trouble for cross posting..

  • Probably a php/apache misconfigration, best I can tell on that error.
