  • I have downloaded a copy of PostNuke. Contents on the folder seem similar with phpNuke however I noticed another folder named "phoenix-SQL". Now where should this go?

So drill goes this, see if I'm right. I'm creating a sub-domain folder. I'll then proceed with uploading both "HTML" and "phoenix-SQL" to the sub-domain folder via ftp program. By the way, my host is running RedHat linux.

And then on, I'll proceeed with installation "install.php".

And I on the right track so far? I haven't done it tho' just checking with you guys and thanks.
  • When you unzip the package, the file structure is correct. The HTML folder is your document root and should end up in a directory that can serve pages. You can place the HTML files in your document root or a subfolder.

If you put the contents of the HTML folder in your document root, you will start the installation by pointing your browser to yoursite.com/install.php.
  • The SQL file and folder need not be uploaded or used generally.
  • Yep,

Its only there for folks who need to do a "Manual install" for some reason. (See /html/docs/manual.txt in the package). If you can run the provided "installer" (install.php) you probably won't need the other one.

    Have fun!
