Installation, Configuration, & Upgrades  ::
Before install, from Tikiwiki to PostNuke
 Top

  • Hello,

I've been running Tikiwiki for several month but lately (after an upgrade in fact) i've encountered several problem.

My hoster suggest me to change for PostNuke.

After two hours i still can find a page where all the PostNuke features are availble.

A/ So my first question is : Where can i read PHPnuke features ?

About language, Tiki offer me to switch on the fly (popup on the front page) the language of the core system. This is important to me. I can see PostNuke got a popup (english only ?) but i need HEBREW, FRENCH AND RUSSIAN.

B/ My second question is :"Is there a way to have HEBREW, FRENCH AND RUSSIAN into a "change language" pop-up.

Then if someone now if there is a way to move data from TikiWiki to PostNuke it will help a lot !

    Thanks

    Yoni
  • On the answer to your second question, look in the downloads section of PostNuke to download additional language packs.

On your first question, I'm hoping you mean PostNuke features?? You can look at all the configuration options you have by clicking the "Administration" link and then clicking on "settings".

I don't know of a current existing module that will popup a language change box when users enter the site as anonymous guests, although you can certainly have a language change block appear for your users and allow them to select a default language so that every time then visit the site and log in to your site as registered users, the features and stories that you have prepared for them in their chosen language will be displayed to them in that language.
  • Hello Raleigh,

    Thanks to your answers.
I've been there and found http://sourceforge.net/projects/pnlanguages
Where there are a lot more of languages than in the pnDownload area.

Infortunatly, i didn't find hebrew.... and that's is closing my interest into PostNuke.

    Thanks a lot anyway
