I've tried searching but can't find anything relevant - so I hope someone can help with this.
I've recently upgraded a PostNuke site from 0.7.2.3 to 0.7.2.6-1 (the Stats page reports 0.7.2.6-Phoenix). Before the upgrade the site had PNphpBB2 1.1 installed. Since the upgrade I've also installed the PagEd module.
I've just noticed that some of the Administration options are missing (when logged on as user admin - obviously). Comparing with another test site the missing options are:
AutoLinks
Censor
Downloads
Permissions
Ratings
User Administration
The site and the Forum seem to work ok - but obviously full administration is a bit difficult without these options! I guess it's like a permissions problem? The permissions have so far never been changed from default (I think).
Can anyone help me fix this? (I can't be sure that it is anything to do with the upgrade - but it seems suspicious). Thanks
Gavin

Lost Administration Options - possibly after upgrading

I can't believe that this problem isn't obvious and simple. Can anyone please help?

The problem of missing modules in the admin panel has been covered a number of times e.g. this thread. Highlighted words are the search terms I used.

Sorry Mark - I'm very embassased!
I was using the Site Search (top right of the page), instead of the Forum Search ... Sorry.
Anyhow, can you explain what might have caused the Database records to have changed - was it likely to be a consequence of upgrading.
PS I just heard a football pundit tip Forest for promotion next season!
(I'm from Derby - come on the Rams, - but I work in Nottingham - and actually support ManU).
Thanks. -
Gavin,
The only cause i've seen is where a module is incorrectly unpacked resulting in modules\modules and Modules\modules but this only affects the modules module. Other causes haven't as yet been indentified.
After this season a play off place next season would be a sucess for Forest.

Err - I think I may have found the problem or the reason why some modules were missing in the Admin menu.
I 've just noticed in the Admin - Modules page (after a Regen), that most (probably all) of the missing modules had either "upgrade" or needed "Initialising" in the right most column.
I know you might think this is obvious after upgrading from 0.7.2.3 to 0.7.2.6 - but the upgrade instructions didn't mention having to "re-initialise" modules, it just says "you will need to re-add your custom modules and regenerate from the modules admin". Nothing about re-initialising them. Re-initialising them would imply to me that I might loose existing data or settings?
This might help other users. Perhaps this should be made clearer in the /docs/manual.txt distributed with PostNuke?
Thanks again. -

Great.
This "open source" / self help principle really has got alot going for it hasn't it. I wonder if it'll ever catch on at Microsoft? ....
You have been fantastically helpful - I find myself almost hoping Forest make the play-offs next season (I did say almost!)
Cheers
