from a fresh installon with no upgrades my install goes flawlessly, Database created, tables made (confirmed via phpMyAdmin), my MySQL user has rights, ect.
When I try to connect to my site I get
Fatal error: call to undefined function: themeheader() in /var/www/html/header.php on line 188
I DO get the your site:your slogan here title in the title bar of my browser, but that is all
Running mandrake 10 urpmi'd to current
I thought it might be a bad theme but I have made no additions to /themes using only what comes with the PostNuke-0.726-3 install.
I also thought it might be a database access issue but I can use phpMyAdmin using the same account with no problems.
Any Ideas - this is probably something simple as usual?

Odd problem either database connect or corrupt theme?

I think I remember hearing that Apache 2.0 and PHP don't play well together, maybe this is part of the problem? The only thing I can suggest is reupload everything, except the config.php file.

mhalbrook, thanks for the info. I did some looking and apparently this is not just my problem. I was able to fix it by uninstalling apache and reinstalling apache via urpmi (perhaps it was a later verson, or perhaps it has to do with the order you install packages?).
Anyways, this worked for me.
Hope this helps someone else -
The default mandrake install (for some strange and unknown reason) sets global vairable in PHP called 'theme'. This then plays havoc with PN. As you've found a standard install from RPM's fixes the problem. A search for 'theme' and 'mandrake' on this forum turns up a couple of threads discussing this.
