  • Its Easy??? I have not document about this. I must upgrade because of smtp option.

    Or;

Can I upgrade only mailer function. what about.

    sorry for my english
  • Just upload everything in the package other than the config.php. Make sure you set your default theme to ExtrLite if you are using a core them also. If you've hacked any core files, then you'll have to redo the hacks.
  • Can I upgrade only mailer function. what about?
  • Not easily.... The mailer module won't actually be used without an updated pnMail API (found in pnAPI.php). It's not recommend that anyone runs with parts of different releases. By doing so you render your installation unsupportable.

  • So to upgrade all you have to do it overright all the files? without the config file?
  • yep - and don't upload install.php / install-folder.
after the uplaod check in administration-modules for any pending updates.
additionally you should check the new config.php structure

  • Actually, there is a need for the install folder for pnRender to initialize I believe.
  • mhalbrook: I had the install folder and it still didn't work, the pntemp.php file referenced in there doesn't exist (At least when I downloaded it it didn't)

    Beer is Tasty!
  • It seems to be missing from the 750 archive, it's in the XTERC4 package.
  • It re-appeared in the .zip package for me early this AM (US CST), so if you re-download the .zip package it should work OK.

  • I am planning to upgrade our PostNuke 0.726 to 0.750, but am a bit reluctant at the moment seeing all the confusion that is happening.

We are currently running Moodle off it, and don't want to disrupt any service we have to that.

If i do an upgrade, will i have to reinstall all my modules? and how much content will i lose? i.e. users forums etc?

    Thanks
    Scott
  • please keep in mind that .750 is currently just a release candidate and we do not recommend using it on any productive sites but only in testing enviroments. i suggest to wait at least for the upcoming RC3 before applying the update to any livesite...

  • As long as the RC is in the package name, it's really not recomended that you use it or upgrade to it in a production enviroment.
  • So I upgraded to .750.......
and I'm having a lil problem with some things :?
is there ANYWAY I can go back to .726???
  • so I'll just take that as a no icon_rolleyes
