  • Followed instructions, well almost, didn't set the default theme to Ultra-Lite. Everything appeared to go well but then received this error message when I attempted to enter the site:

    _XA_FAILEDTOINITENGINEPostNuke

    Would improper theme cause this?
  • Yep, use the PostNuke Swiss Army Knife to set your theme to ExtraLite.

Hey Lord of Portals, this is jeanloui from imagicweb.
Can you explain (detailed, step by step) your upgrade process?
I'm also upgrading (by hand) but I'm very interested in the "default" upgrade procedure.
  • His problem is related to the fact that he did not change the theme to ExtraLite, as a result, it's trying to load the new PostNuke theme, which is an Xanthia theme, Xanthia themes must be initialized to work, which is why the upgrade notes say to switch the theme from any of the Core themes.

Out side of that, the upgrad process for this is the same as any other upgrade to PostNuke.
    1. Back up your files
    2. Back up your Database
    3. Upload the new files other than the config.php.

Additional to 750, initalize pnRender, Xanthia, Mailer and TypeTool in the Modules control panel.
  • Also missing from the upgrade instructions is that there are some new entries in config.php that need copying over. There are $pnconfig['pnTemp'], $pnconfig['pconnect'] and $pndebug['pagerendertime'].
