  • Ok I am looking into PostNuke as a way to implement my companies intranet site. Its a small company that would like something that is very updatable and flexible. PostNuke seems to be perfect. Just a question or two though. How the heck to I create new pages to browse to? Say I want to link to a page with all the awards a certain book has won, lets call it awards.php. How would I create a Blank Page with the theme I chose so i can begin to add blocks and everything? Im kinda confused on that. would i have to actually manually code the whole thing? Also can I make it so you dont have to register or log in to do stuff like participate in polls and stuff?
  • 1. search either for blank.php or static_docs for file inclusion
    2. this can be done by permissions - check the permission forum for more information

  • ok so i think i get how to make blank pages as modules and call on the modules within a block etc. But i havent been able to get NukeWrapper to work. I create just a dummy PHP or HTML file with echo "hi there" in it and when i link to it through wrap.php?file=awards.php&opt=1 all that happens it the main page loads up except when you look at the address bar up top in IE it says

    /index.php?Who's_a_naughty_boy_then?

    instead of /index.php

which is the actual address of the homepage. I would use the module method but it seems like such a cumbersome way to do it especially if you have alot of pages to create. Im surprised that someone hasnt come up with a module to do this yet. Like Create Page module and it takes and makes a Blank Page using the current theme and has all the spaces for blocks and is ready to work with.
  • There are modules like Subjects, PagEd, Pagesetter, and Content Express which can be used for static HTML pages.
