  • ok this is weird. I installed PostNuke, everything was fine for 2 days. I decided to give access to one admin person, and decided to make her login directory(home directory) the directory where the website is. well after I did that, somethign weird happened, the site wouldn't load, and I checked the site error messages for apache. it said that file blak blah blah, in the mandrake theme directory doesn't exist. anyway basically the themes in the them folder, can't be access, and SOMEHOW, it is looking for a theme called mandrake. well my system OS is mandrake. and i wonder if for some reason, making her home directory the website directory caused this. well I just changed the name of one of the other themes to "Mandrake and it loaded fine. go figure. so then I go into admin and try to change the theme that way, and with PSAK and no change will happen. anyone got any ideas? thanks.
  • ok I have been on this for several days now.
I have created a new directory...
uploaded a fresh taball of PN< and untarred it. did the install, and it all goes good till I go to look at the new site, and I get:
Fatal error: call to undefined function: themeheader() in /usr/local/apache/htdocs/test/html/header.php on line 188
then I check my log files for apache and look at the error log and I have this:
    File does not exist: /usr/local/apache/htdocs/test/html/themes/Mandrake/style/styleNN.css
well there is no Mandrake theme in there, HOWEVER the OS of the machine is mandrake. I just don't get it, BUT if I change the name OS one of the theme directories to Mandrake, it works fine. site comes up no problems...
but when i try to go into admin and change the theme, it won't change. no errors. no nothing. same thign wiht user preferences trying ot change themes, looks like its going to change but stays the same as the theme is in the mandrake theme directory.....
    its weird.
    so one:
why is it insertingthe name of a theme called Mandrake,
    and two:
is there a permission I have set wrong? I didnt do anything other than the install which did go fine, except this little gremlin, please help....
