Upgrade to 75RC2 -- can't login anymore

Hi, i did an upgrade to 75rc2 -- and then suddenly i cannot login as admin anymore. what happens is this: i enter user and pass at the site index page, then i get "logging you in" message and then wind up at the same index page and not logged in.
I tried to do clean install of .75rc2 -- the same problem
please help
