No database made.Unable to make nuke_autolinks

  • Hello,

I am trying to install PostNuke for the first time on my server. I have followed all the directions, created a database through mysql imported the database given in the zip file and keep getting this error:

No database made.Unable to make nuke_autolinks

Ak! Please someone help me I have been trying to figure this out for a good week now and am ready to pull out all of my hairs!
  • You shouldn't have imported the database. That is only for the rare instances when install.php doesn't work. Dump all the tables from the database and then run install.php
  • thanks for the tip :) I deleted all of the tables and let the script set them it took me through setup and said that it had completed. However now when I goto the PostNuke index it gives me the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: pnservergetvar() in /home/peakview/public_html/employees/referer.php on line 30

    as seen on http://www.peakviewmarketing.com/employees/index.php

    Any clue?
  • What module do you have set as your main page?
  • I dont understand? Please explain how I can find out?
  • That function does not exist in PostNuke's code. It would appear that you have a PHP Nuke Theme instaleld possibly.

Here is the download that I installed? It says PostNuke Phoenix 0.750-RC2 (.zip)
  • Ah, 750, this is why you need to give us all the details of what you are working with. I've installed 750 clean with out this issue, so it could be related to the underlying server configuration. What versions of the OS, Webserver, PHP & MySQL are we dealing with?
  • ahhh - the webhosting company agreed to add it to there cpanel - thank god! one button and its set up - loving life :) thank you for all of your time and help!
  • I wouldn't trust the one click installs. They typically lag behind the release version and there's usually no easy upgrade, you'll have to do the upgrade the hard way.
  • A word of advice to anyone who is using a webhost's CPanel to install PostNuke - Check the version of PN being installed. My host, while up to date on everyting from PHP to Apache to Perl versions, still has PN .720 in their CPanel. I've asked them to upgrade, but they don't understand why. The security issues in having such and old version as a production site are numerous.
