    Hi there,

I need pnRender for one of my modules to work. Stupid me forgot to keep a logfile on this when I installed it on 0.723... as far as I can remember it didn't do much bad there, had to fix a few things but otherwise it worked fine (pnrender RC2).

Different story was when I tried to install it on 0.726 yesterday... the whole site was messed up, blocks wouldn't load for strange reasons and in general , it was hard to find a page that wouldn't have errors. (pnrender rc4)

So my question is how to install pnrender and at the same time prevent PN messing up as much as possible. Should I go with 0.726+ pnrender RC2? or the rc4 ?

    please advise...

    thanks

    Stepan

You'll have to be more precise than 'messed up' - very hard to suggest anything based on that report. RC4 hasn't had any significant problems reported with it. In actual fact the RC stage is mostly for Xanthia rather than pnRender which hasn't changed much throughout all the RC's.

Ok - well on juliarobertsonline.com which is PN 0.726, I installed the RC4. After activating pnrender and xanthia and giving the right access to all dirs/files, the site would load, however, the following would give errors:

    - MembersOnline block
    - PNphpBB2 block
    - PNphpBB2 forum
    - Memberlist

Maybe there were some others, but since I was in a hurry I had to return the changes to the old situation...

    Please advise..

ps. is your advanced poll released yet? I'm really waiting for a version where I can change the font size and layout :)

What errors are they giving? There is a known issue with PNphpBB2 related to it's database connection methods and the block suffers the same problem, could be the case with the others.
