Xampp configuration for post nuke
 Top

  • Ok, i am having some difficulty setting up my apache config file to make post nuke work....i have got post nuke installed fine and created the website with no problems, but making the site visible on the net is another story. I have a static ip address and have set up web servers (IIS and other stuff with no problems) but this is my first stab at apache. I think the error lies in the confirguration file set up.....everytime i try and change the httpd.config file i keep getting the xampp welcome screen or a "page cannot be found" error

do you edit the server root file? (ServerRoot "C:/xampp/xampp/apache/")

or the Document root file? (DocumentRoot "C:/xampp/xampp/htdocs")

I am using the latest version of xampp and post nuke Phoenix 0.726-3

any help would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks
  • DocumentRoot is what tells Apache where to load the page from. Server Root tells Apache where it lives.
