To be honest with you, I'd run from them. 10 gigs for 8 bucks? I don't trust those types of ratios. There's almost no way they can be cash flow positive.

i've been with them for over 6 months and i have yet to have any problems. to me they are great. i just suck with web work

Funny you should mention canaca. I was with powweb.com and moved to canaca because they offered up what I thought I needed too. After two weeks of aggravation with them I finally cancelled the account.
They only support phpnuke and dont give any support with PostNuke. In their control panel they will setup the database for you for phpnuke. They were so unbending and really not very good with the support for the phpnuke that they even told me to google for the answer.
I left and went back to powweb.com for my hosting. Two major thumbs down for canaca.
A note to everyone, get a good host that is willing to work with you to solve problems and then cruise through this site and life will be good.
Good Luck with your venture Mr.Potatoes.

I always hate commenting on hosts that do outlandish resource/price ratio plans, since I do web hosting, but that host is over the top big time. They might as well be offering unlimited. The only possible servers I've seen that would let them make any kind of profit on that price point are underpowered machines, and still wouldn't allow sustainable income at that price point because they're unmanaged. I pay 2ce that from 1/10 that from a reputable reseller provider. That they allow PHPNuke and not PostNuke is a further sign of them being a questionalbe host as I've seen hosts ban PHPNuke but not PostNuke, and never seen one the other way around.

I generally dont like to knock anything be it a host, program, game whatever. But that host really jerked me around by refusing to honour their 30 day money back guarentee. It took me about a week and many emails to get them to honour it which means that I settled for paying for one month to get my one year payment credited to my credit card.
Canaca is in the doghouse with me and deserves any slams that I can deliver. A deal that is too good to believe is just that, too good to believe. There are lots of better hosts around. -
