Hello i am a newbie to PostNuke and have some HTML experience and was wondering what do i need to know to create some themes. I am not going to be doing anything fancy just want to create something a little different. Would appreciate any help or advice you guys can give me.

You might get more help over in the Third Party Themes and Design forum. A nice fairly easy to use program for themes is AutoTheme Lite .7. Use it with something like DreamWeaver or similar program and theme away. Im just starting to work on one of my own too.
Look around the forums here and you will certainly find all sorts of info on this.

..use of AutoTheme does decrease theme performance (around 15%) over use of the traditional method. ..as "studies" have indicated.
I'd like to see more of these studies done though with more variants and tests, so more reliable data can be referred to.
