Possible PN_TYPE 1-2 Problem?
 Top

  • Well, it just keeps bugging me. Found a small page on pnrender install problem by old user. He had this snippet:

I then installed Xanthia and pnRender, according to the instructions. Initially I was dismayed to see errors at any attempt to access the modules. Something about an non-existent function "main". Mark in the pnForums helped me resolve this however. It seems that PostNuke thinks that these modules are pnAPI "type 2" modules, when they are in fact non-pnAPI "type 1" modules. The solution is to go into the database (using something like phpMyAdmin) and changing the types for these modules. That's in the nuke_modules table, find the module name for each (postMyMail, phpws_calendar, etc) and change the pn_type to 1. That's all that's necessary.

Ok.. I checked my DB. Blocks, modules, permissions, quotes and a couple more show pn_type 2. Mind you.. my problem is no block, permission etc. access due to access errror at function? "view" whatever. Don't get more then that.

What are the chances that PN_TYPE2 instead of 1 is the culprit? Running .726.1, XTE5 originally and AT .8.

Last ditch effort I guess
