I've got a site I'm developing where some topics will only seen by subscribing members.
However, someone asked me if it could be set up so that the Article Text ("the teaser" part shown on the homepage) could be viewable to all groups but only subscribed groups could see the whole story item (the Extended Text) when they clicked on "read more".
Is this possible? If not, can anyone suggest a way of displaying a taster of premium content, without showing the whole article?

this can be done via permissions - but it will need some hacking in your theme.php
the basic idea is to set the permissions for the specific topic/category to 'overview' and adding a check in the themeindex() and themearticle() functions. this topic has been covered before so a quick forum search might provide more information (note the permissions forum)
