Had done this successfully on my test server at home but something's gone wrong on the live server. On the front page, which uses the Start module as a "dummy" module, blocks are apearing twice, but only in the center zone.
Thought it might be a theme problem, so uploaded a new theme, but that didn't help, and in fact couldn't get that theme to display the blocks in the curtom areas, nor, for the most part, use the custom wrappers.
I also had a Smarty error on a block on the admin page which has the Smarty debug command in it.
Can be seen at http://www.juniormagazine.co.uk. Any ideas appreciated.
p.s. Confess I didn't delete all files (I didn't on the test server wither, but that was OK)

OK. Sorted this problem through a bit of trial and error. Turned out the 750 on the test server was a RC version (RC3, I think), and something must have changed with Xanthia since then. Anyway, it was some custom block wrappers that caused the problem. They didn't add any formatting but allowed the block to display without showing the block title. Think these were necessary in an earlier version of XTE and they still are outsdie the center block, but clearly now in the centre block they cause weird things to happen. Still got a few strange theme things happening, but it's getting there.
