Failed to load module Modules (at function: "list"

  • I just installed PostNuke 0.750 Gold on Windows NT 4.0, Apache/2.0.50 (Win32), PHP/5.0.3 and MySQL 4.0.20a.

When I click on Adminstration>Module>List, it's fine. But when I click on Regenerate, it gives me the message above. It clears up when I set the pn_state=3 in nuke_modules

Browsed the forum and tried the following recommendations without success
    1. Confirm no small letter 'modules' on nuke_modules
    2. Checked pn_state=3
    3. I reinstalled several times (deleted phoenix database completely)
    4. Checked the modules directory to confirm only 1 modules/Modules
    5. Checked to Apache error logs but found nothing related to PostNuke files
    6. Reinstalled with .750RC3.

I'm basically dead in the water for now and I'm not able to install any new modules like Pagesetter until I get past this hurdle.

Hoping to hear some suggestions on what else to try. I can browse through code (shudder) so any heads up as to where to look, will help
  • I tried downloading MDAC 2.8 for Windows NT - same problem. The same database and PostNuke file structure was moved to a Windows XP machine and it worked!

It sounded like PHP 5.0.3 did not do it for PostNuke in Windows NT. When I installed PHP/4.3.10 instead, everything else remain equal, the regenerate worked.

Just some info for those who are stuck and may want to try.

    End of the long trek.
