    i currently have PostNuke installed inn a folder called PostNuke, i would like to take it out and put it on my public_html, do i move all folders in the PN folder into the public folder? is that the safe way to do it

    Yes.
    Just make sure you keep the directory structure intact and keep permissions set as well.
