need help customizing blocks
 Top

  • i just got my PostNuke set up and have been messing around with the blocks, trying to get it to look right. if you go to my site here
    http://www.cancerkills.net/index.php
you can immediatly see that on the right, there are no blocks, but the light green header to them. this keeps appearing, although i have no blocks set to be on the right. is there any way i can remove this? i think it is also causing the dark grey across the bottom, because on the other pages without the green on the right, there isn't grey on the bottom.

next, if you look on the sidebar, you see there's a menu block i created; navigation. i turned the original "main menu" into "user menu", and split up the links. i want to have it so that if you're not logged in with a username, you don't see the user menu block. i think i do this in permissions, but i don't know how. can anyone tell me how?

then if you log in with my test account (username:test password:password) you will notice that everything disappears. you can go to my other modules, like the forums
    http://www.cancerkills.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=PNphpBB2
but not on the home page. anyone know why this is so?

    help is greatly appreciated.
  • am i in the wrong forum or something?
  • i see a block on the right, the poll block. are you trying to get other blocks to show? I tried to login and I see what your talking about as far as nothing showing up. looking at the source, seeems you have a couple of java scripts running. when your not logged in, it seemes the inci script loads some blocks? and then when your registered, i dont see that script anymore. maybe that has something to do with it, but i cant be sure. as for the permissions, can you post your permission schema?
  • i don't even know what you're talking about...we didn't write any scripts in javascript to run, anything you see should be what PostNuke configured. i'll get a screenshot of the permissions as soon as possible. thanks.
