Charset not found error....
 Top

  • Hi guys,

When I am trying to install PostNuke I get the following error message:

    Quote

File 'c:\mysql\share\charsets\?.conf' not found (Errcode: 2) Character set '#33' is not a compiled character set and is not specified in the 'c:\mysql\share\charsets\Index' file Unable to make database

I get this message just after I have inputted all my database details and click Start to create the database.

I have done some searches and the basic solution seems to be to edit the httpd.conf file on my MYsql server so that utf8 is the default charset. I contacted support at my hosting company and that cannot be done.

Is there any other way I can get around this problem? Make PostNuke look for another charset? I have been working on this for an entire day now and it is really annoying me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
