Presuming you are using either .726 or .750 PostNuke, you can use this article to guide you to various documents I have created that takes you through the install process, complete with screen shots, and then begins showing you how to use some of the features within PostNuke. At this time the articles can get you started on .760 PostNuke but because it is in Release Candidate stage it is not suggested you use it in a production environment. Later, when it is not in release candidate stage I will work on updating my material for it.
The articles are listed in a semi-logical order starting with obtaining and installing PostNuke, then going through a step at a time some of the features. I am still writing more articles at this time to cover other features not presently covered, but it should get you started. Within the article above, prior to the listing of the various articles, are a few other articles to help you get started like selecting a hosting provider and the like.
Hope this helps. -

You might want to check the permissions on the files and make sure that for files like install.php it is set to rw-rw-rw or 666 if using numeric permission settings. That might be one reason why the script is not executing and instead being returned to you as text in the browser. -

If you find it difficult to follow Ira's docs, then chances are you dont have the required foreknowledge of PHP and MySQL to sensibly attempt to install PostNuke.
Installation is achieved by visiting install.php once PostNuke has been uploaded to your webspace provider. Then, just follow the installation steps. Guides are available at Ira's site, and also at http://docs.postnuke.com, specifically the pnGuide
