My second PostNuke site. Let me know if you have any questions about its design, modules, or ghetto ways I implemented a number of changes.

And thanks for the link, cyber_wolf. We have been looking for something like this. Is that an EZComments hook I see? And do you have any ShortURL rewrites for it?

Looks nice, though I might add a little splash of color in the logo for effect icon_wink

Remember, Dynamenu supports permissions, so you can hide certain menu items from non-users, non-admins... and I might suggest tweaking your DM style sheet to make the menu the same width as the block it's in (set in .verbar -- width: Xpx icon_wink

Thanks for your comments. I'll be adding a graphic to the header area in the near future to make things up there slightly more exciting.

And you caught me while I was still in the process of setting up DynaMenu icon_smile
    It's awesome!

Yes, EZComments is hooked into it as well as the PostNuke ratings hook so the users can rate the game as well.

Sorry, I don't have any ShortUrl re-writes for it. I haven't implemented it on my site nor have I had time to look into it yet.

zmcnulty, I love this site. Very clean. Normally I find PN sites too cluttered but this one is spot on. Now I want to know which software/modules/everything you used? Where did you get the theme from? I want to build a tech engineering site with similar styling and functionality.

Just posting to say my site hit the 10,000 member mark today. Thanks to everyone in the PostNuke community, particularly those who developed the modules I use, and those who have helped me address my technical issues.

Up past 20,000 members now. Looking forward to installing PN.8 on the site when a release candidate is available.

PostNuke has done a good job scaling with the site; no major slowdown issues... or at least none that are the fault of PostNuke icon_wink

Just a couple notes about modules. No offense to anyone, this is just my experience.
-Switching from UpDownload to Downloads 2.0 in the near future. UpDownload is nice and has served about 2.5 million downloads, but really needs templating.
-Still using pnForum 2.6. Hoping to get a way to link Groups to pnForum, so there could be an option like "Ban this user" underneath every post on the forum.
-Still using EnvoAvatar, pmBOX, EZComments 0.3. No reason to upgrade to anything else yet.
-PageSetter is too unstable -- looking forward to a day when it's suitable for use on my site.

I like the layout of the site. I am currently trying to create a theme for my site. Was wondering how you got the content in the middle with the background on the sides?

    Yep, 30,000 members now icon_smile

Sorry for the late response. The theme involved some CSS work.

    Basically you have three DIVs:

    Top
    Middle
    Bottom

The top DIV contains the "top" image.
The middle DIV contains the "side" image.
The bottom DIV contains the "bottom" image.

So you create the images at the correct width, make sure they line up correctly, and set them as image backgrounds in each of the divs. Set the "side" image to be a repeating background, since it needs to go the length of the page.

In my case, the page background color is actually set to grey. But because the image backgrounds are present, it appears to be white.
