I have been trying for about 3 weeks to get RSS feeds working. I have read through all the posts, tried everything suggested there, received the modules from CRS and tried his suggestions, all to no avail.

I cannot even get the local backend.php file to load, which I am assuming means an issue with my server or permissions. No matter what I have tried I get either nothing from the Core rss modules, or http connection failed(1) from the modules from CRS.

Does anyone have any suggestions - opening ports, changing file permissions, or database permissions? Any ideas would be appreciated.

I am running this on a server from home, Fedora Core 4, PN 761, and Comcast as an ISP.

BTW, I already talked to Comcast also and they do not block http requests. But since I cannot even get the local file to work tells me that it is not their problem, at least not yet!

    Thanks for any ideas.
