While visiting relatives over the holidays, my brother turned me on the Sudoku puzzles. We hacked out a basic PostNuke Sudoku module
(Thank you ModGen!). Sorry for the shamless plug.

I am interested an anyone who would be willing to contribute to this project as I will only be working on it in my spare time.

    Thanks,

Whoops - I notice the puzzle doesn't render properly on all browsers (IE). Please be patient with me.

CURSE YOU FOR MAKING IT A PostNuke MOD......................

I am addicted to this thing since a couple of weeks................

    Nice work

    Improvments needed :
Better rendering on Firefox (numbers are not in the squares)
A print option to print the fdslkjd lzkejrflksd thing to play offline.
    And maybe a result validator...

Thanks for the feedback - this is my first effort at 'table-less' forms. I have a lot to learn.

Apparently, Soduku books were cheap this Christmas. It's like crack. I got a book from my brother and now I can't put it or my pencil down.

Well, add me to the recently addicted. I've got it on my PDA now and can't put the darned thing down.

I'm wasting far too much time already. So, of course I'm interested in wasting even more.

The Sudoku module can now be downloaded at:
    http://noc.postnuke.…m/frs/?group_id=344

I would like to get some feedback before I officially announce it. I am concerned about the module initialization process. There is a rather large table load and would like to know if anyone has timeout problems.

    Otherwise enjoy!

    Installed fine without any problems
    .7.6.1
    AutoTheme
    dark theme
    linux
    apache Apache/2.0.51 (Fedora2)
    mysql 3.23.58
    PHP 4.3.10

    feedback:
    looks fine in firefox
in windowz the buttons for easy, medium, hard and extreme
are centered of the off to the right
other than that it works just fine.

One question, the numbers that are pre generated are in a square
that has a grid... is this nessesary?
    Great job... thanks!!

    Thanks for the feedback!

Curious - what version of Windows/IE are you using. I am using the latest version of Windows XP at work (whoops I didn't say that) and the formatting appears OK.

I like to identify the given cells because that lets you know these cells are correct. Just a personal preference.

Because most of my module work has been on 'system' modules I hadn't considered the regular users wouldn't have direct access to the documentation, I need to provide some help information.

    your welcome...
    windows version:
    6.0.290.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519

It doesnt look bad... its just disjointed from the other buttons... I use Firefox always
just looked at it via explorer for your feed back...
looks like it might be an auto theme problem
    screen shots below

I'll root around in the files and figgure out how to remove the grid

    Thanks again for the program...
    Great work!!!

To disable the background grid search for 'cellbg9' in the user_main.htm template.
