I have just transferred both my database and my PN files to a new server. I changed the database details in config.php, but when I load index.php, it shows all of the static areas of my AutoTheme template, but will not load any of my blocks, except for one (which just includes an HTML file). You can see what is happening here:
http://www.regen-media.com/index.php
And compare it to my existing site:
http://www.regenmag.com/index.php
The current site (above) runs PHP 4.3.10. The transferred site runs PHP 4.4.0 and 5.0.4-- not sure how a server can run two versions.
Does anyone have any advice or guidance on this issue?
Thanks,

Oh, I forgot to say that I am using 0.7.2.1-Phoenix, and I don't want to upgrade.
I'm not familiar with a pnTemp folder. No, I don't think there are any errors in the log, as far as I can see, but I may be looking in the wrong place.

You'll have to expect to find a serious lack of people experienced with such an old version to help you then... like me :(

and I don't want to upgrade
Any particular reason? Nostalgia maybe?
But seriously: are you running on an intranet or did you manually patch all the security problems that have been reported since that version?
And it's like Topiatic said: no experience with that version (I came in on .726)
The log you want to look at is Apache's error_log usually at /var/log/httpd/error_log

My PN site has core files that are hacked beyond belief. Too much of a pain to upgrade. I am also simultaneously working on a new site (on another server) for my magazine that's PN .750, so that's another reason I don't want to upgrade. Our current host contract ends Feb 13-- that's why I am trying to get the site up and running on our other server. Our service level from our existing host provider has been absolutely abysmal.
We did not patch the security problems. But that will become a moot point when we switch to our new .750 site. Or perhaps it has its own security issues?
Yes, I looked at that log and saw no errors. I'd be willing to give a good samaritan a closer look into our site if needed.
Thanks,

Yes .750 has its own problems. You need to go for .761a That's the latest version.
Hopefully you won't have to hack the core as much as you did before.
Anyway if I were you I would check out the security notices here and remove/patch what you need to. This one is especially nasty but I don't know if your version has the xmlrpc module.
If you want to I could check a few things on your site but like I said, I don't know the version so no guarantees. PM me if you're interested.
Good luck!
BTW Nice site
