How can you make it mandatory for user to give more info before becoming a member? Core-required
I want to be able to add where they must tell Their job title. Where they are at? Etc..
I really want to be able to tell if they are real people before I grant them membership.
seem alot of spammer are registering at my site.

Also where would I go to mod the email letter sent out welcome them as a member and given them their new password.

Well, without doing a lot of custom work, you can't... Yet! in .8 you can add custom dynamic user data fields and make them required. (you can add fields now but can make them required)

As for the e-mail... I found it once, but I have no idea now! I am thinking it would need to be in one of the lang folders, or be made up of defined fields?

A long time ago, there was a hack called "pncUserHack" developped by Chestnut... but it is no longer on his website (http://dev.pnconcept.com/)... so i guess it is no longer supported...

But this hack was doing a great job! Not only you could specify that some field were mandatory but you could also have different type of fields : text, lists, etc...

How could we do it now without waiting for .8??

Hello again (and happy new year this time!)!

Actually i think many people have been using Pagesetter as and extended user profile (on which we can use different kind of field including photo uploads)... but i can't find a way of linking in to the New-User module so that - ideally - the Pagesetter module would be displayed instead of the new user form, but alternatively, the user has to fill the full profile after filling the few field require to create its "basic" profile...

Could anyone point me in the right direction please?!
