Back in December I tried to upgrade to .760 from .726. I made some mistakes and was never able to recover from them. I was never able to roll back to the previous version, nor complete the upgrade, hence my referral to the "mutant". Since the site was functional and I could do everything I needed to, I decided to let sleeping dogs lie and leave it the way it was, partially upgraded.
It's 10 months later, and I'd like to get back to work on it, and see that Post Nuke is up to .763. The upgrade included in this file does include both versions, so I'm wondering what would happen if I tried to run the upgrade.
Will this correct the problem with the partially upgraded database? Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Question about "mutant" upgrade.

It is possible to correct your database, but it would have to be looked at, comparison of tables structure between the versions, revise correct, follow the upgrade, path.
If you are comforatable and have prevision major versions to compair the mysql dumps to the database for structure... you should be able to find and correct the errors.. and follow the upgrade path. (.726>.750)>.763
Does that give you a place to start?

It's a place to start, but unfortunately, I'm not comfortable or knowledgeable enough to even know where to start.
How do I get the mysql dumps to compare? -
What sort of problems did you have? It's hard to suggest a solution without a good knowledge of the problem.
