    here starts my first problem:

Installed Foxserv 3.0 and foxserv add on PostNuke (this installed PostNuke latest .701).

It installed apache, mysql and PHP latest and configured everything on its own.

The site works well . But when ever I try to post any thing or do any changes as an admin , I get the following error:

    Forbidden
You don't have permission to access ///admin.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Apache/2.0.39 Server at localhost Port 80

Please let me know where should I correct ?????? I am very new to this development (apahce, mysql and PHP). So please give a detailed reply. If want me to be more specific let me know.

    Thanks,

Ignore the foxserv PostNuke addon. As you observed this is PostNuke .701 (a very old version). Grab the latest PostNuke from the main PostNuke site and you should have more success.

Foxserv doesn't require any special in the way of software distributions it just takes the hastle out of setting up a local development enviroment. You can still take the normal releases of software (e.g. PostNuke) and use them.

:D Thanks Markwest, You saved my time. All these days I was beating around foxserv but as you said, this morning I replaced all files with latest PostNuke .7.2.3 (if I am right) and since then everything goes like butter. Perfect.

    Please help me with this:

I am planning to build a small community portal which should have Classifieds . Some thing which is very categorized like, jobs, realestates, schools etc etc.

I did not find any such module/block under PostNuke (I am to this so if I am missing something or trying to reinvent the wheel , help me please). i have been through complete documentation of PostNuke but was not successfull. So , please advice if this has the following features & advice where I can find the stuff (modules)

    1. Classifieds
    2. Personal / Matrimonial
    3. Shopping
    4. Weather compatable with PostNuke (not phpnuke as document says phpnuke modules MAY crash PostNuke)

    Thanks thanks thanks a lot!!!!

I've not used modules with any of these functions (outside of my requirements) but if you do a search on the Modules subsite then you find what you need.
