postnuke not working after transferring to a new host
 Top

  • I've just transferred PostNuke to lunarpages. I've updated all the databases but it doesn't work. This is the site http://www.theelusivepotofgold.com/postnuke/html/index.php and I get an internal server error. I tried PSAK to no avial (I get the same error), any help would be appreciated.

  • Try removing any .htaccess you have in place

  • Now I get the following error

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: adonewconnection() in /home/th7/public_html/postnuke/html/includes/pnAPI.php on line 298
  • That's missing files - reupload everything again, making sure it's all there...

  • Done that, ran PSAK and now get the following error.
Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'Sire\@\localhost' (using password: YES) in /home/th7/public_html/postnuke/html/includes/classes/adodb/drivers/adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 350
    PostNuke Swiss Army Knife -- 1.03 --

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
  • In your config.php you need to switch the value of your encoding to 0... or encode your password.

  • Now I get the following
Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'U2lyZQ==\@\localhost' (using password: YES) in /home/theel7/public_html/postnuke/html/includes/classes/adodb/drivers/adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 350
PostNuke Swiss Army Knife -- 1.03 -- Main Menu
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    * Database connection failed -- menu items depending on database connectivity are disabled
Shit I didn't know it was such a hassle changing hosts.
  • Sorry, I pointed you in the wrong direction. My second guess is that you do not have support for MySQL enabled in PHP.

  • Cool, and I do that how?
  • I am guessing of course... I know nothing of your system configuration. So start here http://us3.php.net/mysql

That tells me you have the wrong username/password.

  • Ok I fixed that, I didn't realize it encrypted the data. Now though the site load I can't log in to http://www.theelusivepotofgold.com/postnuke/html/user.html As you can see it trying to access user.html instead of user.php, why is that. Same thig if I try memberslist etc?

  • You've got shorturls on, but providing you're logged in you can just go to admin.php and turn them off in Xanthia administration.

  • Now there we have a little problem because it won't let me log in, or do anything because of the short utls. Why are they causing a problem now when it was ok before?

No replies, does that means I'm stuck with half a site?
