After patching several .763 installs to .764, the top of the administration panel still reads "PostNuke administration panel (0.7.6.3)"

Anyone else finding this? Any suggestions? TIA.

Sorry, don't have an answer to your question, but I do have a ? for you.

Did you follow all the steps in the upgrade (including saving a copy of the config.php file) or did you just overwrite the files? I ask because the patch doesn't include config.php but the instructions say that you will need to save your copy. Essentially what I am asking is, are the instructions in the patch .zip file right?

Didn't see any instructions in the patch .zip, other than manual.txt in ./docs. As far as I know, that only applies to new installs or upgrades. The patch is usually a straight overlay unless you customize files, but its always a good idea to backup everything before doing any sort of patch or upgrade.

I do know that for the .762->.763 patch a ./install, install.php, & upgrade.php were included that really shouldn't have been there as they aren't needed for a patch. The .763->.764 patch didn't include these files/directories.

It would be great to have a patch.txt file included in docs that outlines the patch procedure for a given release because I usually end up Googling for guidance. The instructions could change from release to release though so its probably something the developers would have to provide.

If there were patch instructions that I missed, please let me know.

this indicates that not all files from the patch package are uploaded - especially not /includes/pnAPI.php. i suggest you give it a second try and recommend using e.g. filezilla as ftp-client
